The spring real estate market is really kicking in. Yesterday my husband told me that during the day it felt like baseball weather, which is Scott code for it was warming up. Here is what is happening in Atlanta Real Estate.
Listed in the last 7 days
Homes – 1,364
Condos/Townhomes – 340
Total Listed Right Now
Homes – 11,616
Condos/Townhomes – 2,924
Total Under Contract – 2,790
Under Contract in the Last 7 Days – 2279
Closed in the last 30 Days – 3,439
If you look at the total listed in the last 7 days, 1,704 versus the number of properties that went under contract in the last 7 days, 2,279, this tells you the market is picking up. We have a lot for sale right now which is good but the demand is outpacing the new supply. 11,616 homes sounds like a lot of properties. This encompasses all the metro Atlanta counties. A point of reference to consider is that Atlanta’s last census has us at 6,237,435 people. We still need more inventory but what I really want is lower interest rates. I think we will see them drop but the people in the know are now forecasting later this year or early next year to see the bigger rate drops.
Like the Oscars, Emmys, & Grammys happen in the spring of every year, the real estate awards start rolling out. Thanks for all your referrals this year again. I was number one at RE/MAX Center again this year and your votes got me into the Best of Gwinnett Rankings again for the 7th year in a row. You guys are the best!
